Train Shuttles

Always update your browser when using this site to upload the most current information.

BARD Transportation will provide Friday and Sunday shuttles to and from Rhinecliff Station (Amtrak) and Poughkeepsie Station (Metro-North & Amtrak) for students on a first come, first served basis on the following dates.  Reservations are not required.

  • Fall 2026:  Fri, Aug 28 through Sun, Dec 20
  • Spring 2027:  Fri, Jan 29 through Sun, May 30
  • Rhinecliff Station:  A Bard White Van will drop off and pick up passengers at Rhinecliff Road. Travel to Rhinecliff Station takes about 25 minutes.
  • Poughkeepsie Station:  A Tonche Transit Yellow or White School Bus will drop off and pickup passengers at the Bus Horseshoe off the main lobby, upper level. Travel to Poughkeepsie takes about 50 minutes.

All Northbound passengers will be dropped at Kline Bus Stop.

  • Bus Departs Kline South Stop to RHI:             12:20 PM | 1:50 PM | 5:30 PM
  • Bus Departs Rhinecliff Station to Bard:            1:15 PM | 3:15 PM | 6:30 PM

Poughkeepsie Station (Metro-North and Amtrak) Bus Horseshoe

  • Bus Departs Kline South Stop to POU:           12:45 PM | 3:30 PM | 5:55 PM
  • Bus Departs Poughkeepsie Station to Bard:    1:45 PM | 4:45 PM | 6:55 PM

SUNDAYS

Rhinecliff Station (Amtrak) Rhinecliff Road at Hutton Street

  • Bus Leaves Kline South Stop For RHI:            12:20 PM | 1:50 PM | 5:30 PM
  • Bus Departs Rhinecliff Station For Bard:          1:15 PM | 3:15 PM | 6:30 PM

Poughkeepsie Station (Metro-North and Amtrak) Bus Horseshoe

  • Bus Leaves Kline South Stop For Pou:            12:50 PM | 3:50 PM | 6:00 PM
  • Bus Departs Poughkeepsie Station for Bard:    2:10 PM | 5:10 PM | 7:10 PM

ROUTE C BUS  &  DUTCHESS COUNTY PUBLIC TRANSIT

Monday-Saturday -Bard Students, Staff, and Faculty are encouraged to use the Dutchess County Public Transit Route C Bus.  Thanks to our partnership with DCPT, the ride is always free on any route when you show your valid Bard College ID.

No DCPT Bus Service on New Year’s Day, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day.

The Route C Bus is operated by Dutchess County Public Transit.  Please call DCPT at 845-473-8424
