Fall 2026 Returning Undergraduates
Bard Transportation Services is offering free transportation to returning undergraduates from Poughkeepsie and Rhinecliff Stations on the dates and times listed below.
Reservations are not required.
Saturday, Aug 29, 2026:
Arriving students and families are welcome to ride our train shuttles free of charge between Kline Southbound Bus Stop and local train stations on the schedules below. Reservations are not required.
Depending on weather and traffic, travel to Rhinecliff Station takes 20 to 25 minutes. Travel to Poughkeepsie takes 50 to 65 minutes. Plan your train times accordingly.
Rhinecliff Station (Amtrak) Rhinecliff Road at Hutton Street
- Bus Leaves Kline Southbound Stop: 12:20 PM | 1:50 PM | 5:30 PM
- Drop off @ Rhinecliff Station: 12:45 PM | 2:15 PM | 5:55 PM
- Bus Departs Rhinecliff Station: 9:15 AM | 1:00 PM | 3:10 PM | 6:30 PM
- Dropoff @ RKC Registration: 9:40 AM | 1:25 PM
- Drop off @ Kline Northbound Bus Stop: 3:35 PM | 6:55 PM
A Bard White Turtletop or 11 Passenger Van will drop off and pick up passengers at Rhinecliff Station on Rhinecliff Road at Hutton Street, Click the link and zoom in for the location. Arriving passengers will be dropped The Reem Kayden Center until Registration ends, and at Security and Kline Bus Stop after.
Shuttles depart Kline Southbound Bus Stop at 12:20 PM, 1:50 PM, and 5:30 PM to return parents and guests to Rhinecliff Station. Reservations are not required
Poughkeepsie Station (Metro-North and Amtrak) Bus Horseshoe
- Bus Leaves Kline Southbound Stop: 12:50 PM | 3:50 PM | 6:00 PM
- Drop off @ Poughkeepsie Station: 1:45 PM | 4:40 PM | 6:50 PM
- Bus Departs Poughkeepsie Station: 9:30 AM | 2:10 PM | 5:10 PM | 7:10 PM
- Dropoff @ RKC Registration: 10:30 AM | 3:00 PM
- Drop off @ Kline Northbound Bus Stop: 6:00 PM | 8:00 PM
A Tonche Transit Yellow or White School Bus will drop off and pick up passengers at the Poughkeepsie Station Bus Horseshoe off the main lobby. Click the link and zoom in for the location. Arriving passengers will be dropped The Reem Kayden Center until Registration ends, and at Security and Kline Bus Stop after.

Monday-Saturday -Bard Students, Staff, and Faculty are encouraged to use the Dutchess County Public Transit Route C Bus. Thanks to our partnership with DCPT, the ride is always free on any route when you show your valid Bard College ID.
