Airport Shuttles

2024-2025

Airport shuttles to Albany, LaGuardia, and JFK are scheduled four times during the year, Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, Spring Recess, and End of School Year. Due to logistics of scheduling around students itineraries, airport shuttles are provided for departures from campus only. All shuttles leave from the Kline Bus Stop.  RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED

Early Bird Shuttle Seats are $35.00 until the Reservation Deadline listed below.

The Transportation Store is open online!  Click on the link to Reserve your Train Shuttle and Airport Shuttle seats 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Shuttles travel to JFK, LaGuardia, and Albany, as well as Rhinecliff and Poughkeepsie Stations on Fri, Mar 14 & Sat, Mar 15 (Spring Recess), and Tue May 20 & Wed, May 21 (End of School Year).

Purchases after the deadline date are $50.00 each, cash only, and only if seats are available.  Late purchases must be made in person at Transportation Services, B&G room 107.  Please email ahead for availability and appointments to [email protected]

In general one vehicle will service each airport.  However, if reservations dictate, we may combine passengers on a single coach to LaGuardia and JFK airports. If this scenario occurs, the Shuttle always stops at LaGuardia first, then proceeds on to JFK.

Transportation to LaGuardia and JFK takes between 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 hours depending on weather and NYC traffic. Transportation to Albany takes 1-1/2 hours depending on weather and traffic. Plan flight times accordingly.

*Cargo space is extremely limited.  Each passenger is allowed a maximum of 2 standard-sized checked suitcases and one small carry-on. 

Maximum weight limit is 50 pounds per checked bag.  The maximum size bag allowed is 62 linear (total) inches.  A common size bag for checking through is: 27″ x 21″ x 14″.  The maximum weight limit is 22 pounds per carry-on bag.  The maximum size carry-on allowed is 48 linear (total) inches. A common size bag for carry-on is 22″ x 14″ x 10″.
Your airline’s baggage limits and restrictions may vary.

Each passenger is allowed a maximum of 2 complimentary standard-sized checked suitcases and one small carry-on. Passengers with excess or oversized baggage will be charged $15.00 per extra or over-sized piece.  Purchase your excess or oversized baggage allowance in our Transportation Store when you reserve your seat.

NEW!  ROUTE C BUS SCHEDULE  Effective 01/04/25  More Buses, More Often!  Still free with a current Bard ID.

MON-SAT:  Dutchess County Public Transit ROUTE C BUS serves Tivoli, Bard, Red Hook, Rhinebeck, Hyde Park, and Poughkeepsie (including Poughkeepsie Station for Metro-North and Amtrak Service).  Passengers are encouraged to ride Dutchess County Transit’s Route “C” Bus.  The ride is free with a current Bard Student ID ($1.75 without ID).

Departing Kline Southbound Bus Stop at 6:57 AM, 7:57 AM, 9:32 AM, 12:02 PM, 2:42 PM, 5:17 PM, 6:42 PM, 7:57 PM, and 10:27 PM.

Southbound Passengers will have an 8-18 minute layover at the Poughkeepsie Hub before reaching Poughkeepsie Train Station on the Northbound Route C Bus.  Or, switch to the DCPT “L” Bus, departing the Poughkeepsie Hub at :15 and :45 after the hour until 7:15 PM.

Departing Poughkeepsie Station Bus Stop at 5:37 AM, 6:37 AM, 8:07 AM, 10:42 AM, 1:22 PM, 3:52 PM, 5:22 PM, 6:37 PM, and 9:07 PM.

No DCPT Bus Service on New Year’s Day, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day.
