The large passenger shuttle seats 32 individuals by law and will never exceed this limit. The turtle tops are 14 passenger vehicles by law and will never exceed this limit.

Q. Why didn’t the shuttle show up at my stop?

A. Possible reasons that the shuttle did not show up at a stop

  1. The shuttle is full and therefore cannot accept more passengers.
  2. There is inclement weather and the shuttle service has been discontinued for safety. (Security will send out an update in this case).
  3. The shuttle has broken down (in which case security will send out an update).
  4. There have been road delays or detours.

Q. Why is the shuttle leaving early, or running late?

A. The shuttle does its best to remain on schedule. Passengers should arrive at the stop five minutes early.

Q. Why won’t the driver let me on the shuttle?

A. The shuttle may only carry 32 passengers by law, and the driver will never make exceptions to this law.

Q. Why won’t the shuttle stop when I wave it down?

A. Stopping at undesignated locations is dangerous and unsafe, drivers are only permitted to make stops at the predetermined locations indicated on the shuttle schedule.

Q. Why can’t the shuttle drop me off in-between stops?

Q. Can I bring my bike or a pet on the shuttle?

A. No bikes or pets are allowed on the shuttle, the exception being only registered service animals.

Q. What kind of shuttle picks up at the Rhinecliff train station?

A. In general a 14-passenger turtle top with a Bard logo will depart the parking lot just outside the main lobby.  All passengers will be taken to the Kline Southbound bus stop.

Q. What kind of shuttle picks up at the Poughkeepsie train station?

A. A white or yellow Tonche school bus picks up at the Poughkeepsie Station taxi and bus stand just outside the main lobby Fridays, Saturday mornings, and Sundays.  Saturday evenings, look for a Bard turtletop shuttle or white Chevy Express van.  All passengers will be taken directly to Kline Soutbound bus stop.

Q.  Where can I purchase my Airport and Train Shuttle tickets for holiday breaks?

A. Visit our Transportation Store to reserve your Holiday Airport and Train Shuttle seat 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Space is available now.  Reservations are required.
