Fall 2024 L&T Arrivals

Bard Transportation Services is offering, free of charge, transportation from Poughkeepsie and Rhinecliff Stations for incoming students and their families arriving by train Friday, August 9. You can see the full listing of trains we’ll be meeting below.  Reservations are not required.

Amtrak (NYC to Rhinecliff)

A Bard 12 passenger shuttle will pick up students at Rhinecliff Station on Hutton Street.  All passengers will be taken directly to registration on our Annandale campus.  Students arriving after registration closes will be taken to Kline Southbound Bus Stop.

Travel from Rhinecliff Station takes 20 to 25 minutes, depending on weather and traffic.  Plan your train times accordingly.

Friday, Aug 9, 2024:

  • Trains Arriving at Rhinecliff:  8:58 AM | 12:00 PM | 12:58 PM | 2:58 PM
  • Bus Leaves Rhinecliff Station: 9:15 AM | 12:15 PM | 1:15 PM | 3:15 PM

Shuttles depart Kline Southbound Bus Stop at 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 4:00 PM, and 5:00 PM to return parents and guests to Rhinecliff.   Reservations are not required.

Metro-North (NYC to Poughkeepsie)

A White or Yellow School Bus will pick up students at Poughkeepsie Station Taxi Stand/Bus Horseshoe off the main lobby. All passengers will be taken directly to registration on our Annandale campus.  Students arriving after registration closes will be taken to Kline Southbound Bus Stop.

Travel from Poughkeepsie Station takes 45 to 55 minutes, depending on weather and traffic.  Plan your train times accordingly.

Friday, Aug. 9, 2024:

  • Trains Arriving at Poughkeepsie:    10:30 AM | 12:30 PM | 2:31 PM
  • Bus Departs Poughkeepsie Station: 11:00 AM | 1:00 PM | 3:00 PM

Shuttles depart Kline Southbound Bus Stop at 1:45 PM & 3:45 PM, and 5:45 PM to return parents and guests to Poughkeepsie.   Reservations are not required.

BARD-TIVOLI-RED HOOK SHUTTLE SUMMER 2024    Runs Through Thu, Aug 29

Dutchess County Transit’s Route “C” Bus to and from Poughkeepsie Train Station for Metro-North and Amtrak trains is free with a current Bard Student ID ($1.75 without ID). The Route “C” Bus schedule runs Monday through Saturday.
