Metro North and Amtrak passengers: Traveling to or from Bard College Monday through Saturday? Consider taking the Dutchess County Transit Route C Bus between Kline Bus Stop Poughkeepsie Station. The ride is free if you show the driver your current Bard ID while boarding.
BARD Transportation will provide Sunday shuttles to and from Poughkeepsie Station (Metro-North & Amtrak) and Rhinecliff Station (Amtrak) for students on the following dates:
Fall 2024: Sun, Sep 1 – Sunday, Dec 15 Spring 2025: Sun, Jan 26 – Sun, May 18
Amtrak (Rhinecliff to NYC) Travel to Rhinecliff Station takes 20 to 25 minutes, depending on weather and traffic. Plan your train times accordingly.
A 14 Passenger Bard Turtletop shuttle will pick up students at Rhinecliff Station on the Hutton Street side. All passengers will be taken directly to Kline Bus Stop.

- For Trains Arriving: 5:24 PM | 7:36 PM
- Bus Leaves Rhinecliff Station: 5:45 PM | 7:45 PM
Due to ongoing construction at Rhinecliff Station, pickups and dropoffs at the station have been moved to the upper level South entrance, at Hutton Street and Dutchess Terrace. Please follow the signs posted at Rhinecliff Station.
Metro-North (Poughkeepsie to NYC) Travel to Poughkeepsie Station takes 45 to 55 minutes, depending on weather and traffic. Plan your train times accordingly.
A White or Yellow Tonche Transit School Bus will pick up students at Poughkeepsie Station Taxi Stand/Bus Horseshoe off the main lobby. All passengers will be taken directly to Kline Bus Stop.

All departure times from KLINE will remain the same unless schedule changes dictate. Adjustments will be posted on these pages.

MON-SAT ONLY: Dutchess County Public Transit ROUTE C BUS serves Tivoli, Bard, Red Hook, Rhinebeck, Hyde Park, and Poughkeepsie (including Poughkeepsie Station for Metro-North and Amtrak Service). Passengers are encouraged to ride Dutchess County Transit’s Route “C” Bus. The ride is free with a current Bard Student ID ($1.75 without ID).
Departing Kline Southbound Bus Stop at 6:57 AM, 7:57 AM, 9:32 AM, 12:02 PM, 2:42 PM, 5:17 PM, 6:42 PM, 7:57 PM, and 10:27 PM.
Southbound Passengers will have an 8-18 minute layover at the Poughkeepsie Hub before reaching Poughkeepsie Train Station on the Northbound Route C Bus. Or, switch to the DCPT “L” Bus, departing the Poughkeepsie Hub at :15 and :45 after the hour until 7:15 PM.
Departing Poughkeepsie Station Bus Stop at 5:37 AM, 6:37 AM, 8:07 AM, 10:42 AM, 1:22 PM, 3:52 PM, 5:22 PM, 6:37 PM, and 9:07 PM.
No DCPT Bus Service on New Year’s Day, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day.
