BARD Transportation will provide Sunday shuttles to and from Poughkeepsie Station (Metro-North & Amtrak) and Rhinecliff Station (Amtrak) for students on the following dates. No reservations required.
Fall 2026: Sun, Aug 30 – Sun, Dec 20
Spring 2027: Sun, Jan 31 – Sun, May 30.
Rhinecliff Station (Amtrak) Rhinecliff Road at Hutton Street
- Bus Leaves Kline South Stop For RHI: 12:20 PM | 1:50 PM | 5:30 PM
- Bus Departs Rhinecliff Station For Bard: 1:00 PM | 3:10 PM | 6:30 PM
Travel to Rhinecliff takes about 25 minutes. A Bard Shuttle or Van will drop off and pick up passengers at Rhinecliff Station on Rhinecliff Road at Hutton Street, Click the link and zoom in for the location. All Northbound passengers will be dropped at Kline Bus Stop.
Poughkeepsie Station (Metro-North and Amtrak) Bus Horseshoe
- Bus Leaves Kline South Stop For Pou: 12:50 PM | 3:50 PM | 6:00 PM
- Bus Departs Poughkeepsie Station for Bard: 2:10 PM | 5:10 PM | 7:10 PM
Travel to Poughkeepsie takes about 50 minutes. A Tonche Transit Yellow or White School Bus will drop off and pick up passengers at the Poughkeepsie Station Bus Horseshoe off the main lobby, upper level. Click the link and zoom in for the location. All Northbound passengers will be dropped at Kline Bus Stop.

Metro North and Amtrak passengers: Traveling to or from Bard College Monday through Saturday? Consider taking the Dutchess County Transit Route C Bus between Kline Bus Stop Poughkeepsie Station. The ride is free if you show the driver your current Bard ID while boarding.

Monday-Saturday -Bard Students, Staff, and Faculty are encouraged to use the Dutchess County Public Transit Route C Bus. Thanks to our partnership with DCPT, the ride is always free on any route when you show your valid Bard College ID.
No DCPT Bus Service on New Year’s Day, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day.
