Weekend Train Shuttles

BARD Transportation will provide Weekend shuttles to and from Rhinecliff Station (Amtrak) and Poughkeepsie Station (Metro-North & Amtrak) for students on the following dates:

Fall 2025:  Fri, Aug 29 through Sun, Dec 14                                              RESERVATIONS REQUIRED Thanksgiving Getaway Day Wed, Nov 26 & Winter Intersession Getaway Days Fri, Dec 19 and Sat, Dec 20                                              Spring 2026:  Fri, Jan 23 through Sun, May 17                                      RESERVATIONS REQUIRED Spring Break Getaway Days Fri, Mar 13 & Sat, Mar 14 & End of School Year Getaway Days Tue, May 19 &Wed, May 20

Rhinecliff Station (Amtrak) and Poughkeepsie Station (Metro-North and Amtrak) 
 
Depending on weather and traffic, travel to Rhinecliff Station takes 20 to 25 minutes.  Travel to Poughkeepsie takes 70 to 75 minutes.  Plan your train times accordingly.
 
A Tonche Transit Yellow or White School Bus will drop off and pick up passengers at Rhinecliff Station on Rhinecliff Road at Hutton Street, and drop off and pickup passengers at the Poughkeepsie Station Bus Horseshoe off the main lobby.  Click the link and zoom in for the location.
 
All Northbound passengers will be dropped at Kline Bus Stop.

ROUTE C BUS  &  DUTCHESS COUNTY PUBLIC TRANSIT

Monday-Saturday -Bard Students, Staff, and Faculty are encouraged to use the Dutchess County Public Transit Route C Bus.  Thanks to our partnership with DCPT, the ride is always free on any route when you show your valid Bard College ID.

No DCPT Bus Service on New Year’s Day, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day.

Inclement Weather: In the event of inclement weather (ice and snow), updates will be posted to our home page, and to Regroup.com, the Campus Emergency Notification System.
