Fall 2025 L&T Arrivals

Bard Transportation Services is offering, free of charge, transportation from Poughkeepsie and Rhinecliff Stations for incoming students and their families arriving by train Friday, August 9. You can see the full listing of trains we’ll be meeting below.  Reservations are not required.
 
Friday, Aug 8, 2025:
 
Amtrak (NYC to Rhinecliff) A Bard 12 passenger shuttle will pick up students at Rhinecliff Station on Hutton Street.  All passengers will be taken directly to registration on our Annandale campus.  Students arriving after registration closes will be taken to Kline Southbound Bus Stop. Travel from Rhinecliff Station takes 20 to 25 minutes, depending on weather and traffic.  Plan your train times accordingly.  
 
  • Trains Arriving at Rhinecliff:     8:58 AM | 12:58 PM | 3:58 PM | 6:20 PM
  • Bus Leaves Rhinecliff Station:  9:15 AM | 1:25 PM | 4:45 PM | 6:50 PM

Shuttles depart Kline Southbound Bus Stop at 11:30 AM, 3:00 PM, and 5:05 PM to return parents and guests to Rhinecliff Station.   Reservations are not required.

 

Metro-North (NYC to Poughkeepsie) A White or Yellow School Bus will pick up students at Poughkeepsie Station Taxi Stand/Bus Horseshoe off the main lobby. All passengers will be taken directly to registration on our Annandale campus.  Students arriving after registration closes will be taken to Kline Southbound Bus Stop. Travel from Poughkeepsie Station takes 45 to 55 minutes, depending on weather and traffic.  Plan your train times accordingly.

  • Trains Arriving at Poughkeepsie:     9:26 AM | 12:30 PM | 3:40 PM | 6:04 PM
  • Bus Leaves Poughkeepsie Station:  9:40 AM | 12:40 PM | 4:10 PM | 6:15 PM

ROUTE C BUS  &  DUTCHESS COUNTY PUBLIC TRANSIT

Monday-Saturday -Bard Students, Staff, and Faculty are encouraged to use the Dutchess County Public Transit Route C Bus.  Thanks to our partnership with DCPT, the ride is always free on any route when you show your valid Bard College ID.

No DCPT Bus Service on New Year’s Day, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day.

*Train Schedules are subject to change. The Bard shuttle will meet the closest train to the schedule. To verify train schedules call Amtrak at 1-800-USA-RAIL or Metro-North at 1-800-METRO-INFO.
