Summer Reading from the Browsing Collection
It’s that time of year! Time to pick your beach read, your vacation read, your not-for-class-or-work read. Not sure what that read will be? Take a look at the Browsing Collection on the first floor of the library, or check out the Summer Reads page on our Browsing Guide! These pages are updated as new books arrive and are put out on the shelves. You can find the newest titles on the guide’s home page, and more complete lists of Browsing , YA Browsing, Juvenile Browsing, and Children’s Browsing books within the guide. Keep checking back as we add more!
Happy Summer reading!

New Trials: Scite.ai and Classical Scores Library
We are doing a trial of a resource called Scite.ai. This product helps you evaluate sources. It allows researchers to see how frequently an article has been cited and even whether those citations support or contrast the work. Will will have access to Scite.ai until May 1st.
Our final electronic resources trial of the semester is for a resource called Music Online: Classical Scores Library. We will have access until May 7th. Note: For access you will need to check the box to prove you’re not a robot and then click Music Online.
Love either of these trials and want us to keep them? Let us know!

Zotero Workshop
Zotero is a free application that helps you keep track of sources and generate citations in almost any style. If you want to learn how to use Zotero, or if you’ve been using it and have some questions, join us for this one-hour hybrid workshop on Friday, February 18th from 2-3 p.m. in the library computer lab (2nd floor). Prefer to join remotely? Email [email protected] for a Zoom invitation. (Note: Please bring a laptop.)
Shut Up & Sproj!
Shut Up & Sproj provides a quiet, communal space for you to do Senior Project work. We meet Mondays (starting Feb 7) from 3:30 to 5:00 pm in Stevenson Library 402 and Fridays (starting Feb 11) from 3:30 to 5:00 pm on Zoom. Why should you consider joining us? By making the commitment to show up for your Senior Project at the same time each week, you can turn 1.5 hours of focused work into a stable routine that yields real results. Additionally, research indicates that even the smallest sense of belonging to a community increases your performance.
