Chamber music for Conservatory students is a requirement for each semester of their enrollment, after their first-year fall semester. During the course of the five-year program, certain semesters may present more intense demands, such that a student would benefit from having some flexibility for managing their work. At such times, students may apply to waive the requirement in chamber music. Students must notify the Chamber Music Coordinator, and send in the waiver form. The applications will be evaluated by the Conservatory Administration, and the decision to grant a waiver will be made based on a combination of factors having to do directly with each case. Application for waiver should made prior to the beginning of the semester in order to facilitate planning for the chamber music program as a whole.
