If students need to travel to New York City for lessons (not chamber music coachings), the Conservatory will do the following:
- Book your ticket on Amtrak. Either email or meet with Eileen Brickner ([email protected], Bito 106) with your travel times. Your tickets
will be purchased for you. Amtrak will send your etickets via email. If you’re emailing your itinerary, please make sure to include your cell number.
- Reimburse you for your taxis to/from Rhinecliff station – WITH RECEIPT
- Reimburse you for subway fares for travel from Penn Station (or Grand Central Station) to the lesson and return for a maximum of $6 maximum per trip – WITH RECEIPT
- Reimburse you for Loop Bus fare to/from Poughkeepsie station – WITH RECEIPT
- Reimburse you for Metro North tickets – WITH RECEIPT
The Conservatory will not do the following:
- Reimburse you for Amtrak tickets that you’ve purchased on your own (unless it is a special circumstance and is approved by Pat Johnson/Eileen Brickner).
- Reimburse you for taxis to/from Poughkeepsie. Exceptions need to be approved prior to the trip.
