In celebration, this month the library is putting a spotlight on the history of Black student organizations and activism at Bard.<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>Thursday<\/strong>, <strong>February 23<\/strong> at <strong>5 pm<\/strong>, we welcome <strong>Talaya Robinson-Dancy \u201821<\/strong> to the library to give a talk about her senior project research on the history of Black student activism at Bard. After Talaya\u2019s talk, we\u2019ll have a hands-on exhibit of items from the archives that help tell the story of the Black student experience at Bard over time. Refreshments will be provided. (This event is cosponsored by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bard.edu\/dei\/about\/\">Office of the Dean of Inclusive Excellence<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.bard.edu\/fosl\">Friends of Stevenson Library<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>On the main bulletin board near the library entrance, we have a <strong>display<\/strong> of selected items from the <a href=\"https:\/\/digitalcommons.bard.edu\/stu_news\/\">Bard Student Newspaper<\/a> archive that tell the story of past activities of the Bard Black Student Organization (BBSO) and its predecessor, the Bard Racial Action Committee.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, our <a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.bard.edu\/blackhistory\">Black History Research Guide <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.bard.edu\/antiracism\">Antiracism Guide<\/a> are always available on our website.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>February is Black History Month!
