The library welcomes all graduates, families, and alumni/ae to stop in between 10 am and 2 pm on Saturday, May 28th for an open house. We especially invite members of the Class of 2020 to come see their bound senior projects, which will be on display on the first floor. This class had their senior year cut short by the pandemic and submitted their projects digitally, and we’re excited to offer this opportunity to see their printed, bound projects before they join the library’s archive. As is our tradition on Senior Project Day, homemade cookies will be served!
At noon we will have an unveiling of two newly conserved 19th century portraits of Bard Family members (Dr. Samuel Bard and his wife Mary Bard), with snacks provided by the Friends of Stevenson Library (FOSL)! We are thrilled to be hosting this event. Conservation was completed by the Williamstown Art Conservation Center thanks to an award from the NYSCA/GHHN Conservation Treatment Grant Program. The portraits have belonged to Bard since 1938, but they haven’t been publicly displayed for decades. Be the first to see them!
We hope to see you here on Saturday!
