At the beginning of each semester, student academic schedules are added into ASIMUT so that lessons and chamber music coaching\u2019s can be scheduled accordingly. Students must notify the conservatory lesson scheduler of any course changes that happen during the add\/drop period, as these will not be automatically reflected in ASIMUT. Students should keep in mind that heavy work schedules (campus jobs) may not be possible for Conservatory students. Work schedules and extracurricular activities cannot be considered when scheduling lessons and coachings.<\/span><\/p>\n Cancellation and Rescheduling Policies:<\/span><\/p>\n The Lesson Scheduling Office can help arrange rehearsal times for those groups who may have difficulties scheduling regular rehearsals.<\/span><\/p>\n Chamber Music groups are expected to rehearse at least two times before each coaching.<\/span><\/p>\n Any questions or concerns about lessons or chamber music scheduling should be directed to the head of the scheduling office, Philip McNaughton at pmcnaughton@bard.edu or in person.<\/strong><\/p>\n Studio Instruction<\/b><\/p>\n This course is required for all conservatory students and consists of 13 one-hour private lessons per semester with members of the Bard College Conservatory faculty. Studio instruction grades are determined by a combination of several factors, including but not limited to: attendance, preparation, completion of assignments, technical and artistic improvement, and recital\/jury evaluation.
