Please use this guide below as a reference for which classes you are required to take each semester:<\/h4>\n<div><b><u>Instrumentalists:<\/u><\/b><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>CNSV 100: Studio Instruction (4cr)<\/b><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><b><span class=\"il\">Register<\/span> for the section with Frank Corliss if your teacher does not have their own separate studio instruction section.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b><span class=\"il\">Register<\/span> for the corresponding Studio Instruction section if you study with one of the following teachers: <\/b>Marka Gustavsson, Erica Kiesewetter,\u00a0Blair McMillen, Raman Ramakrishnan,\u00a0Melissa Reardon,\u00a0Adele Anthony and Gil Shaham, or Mira Wang.<\/li>\n<li><b>USCMI Students\u00a0<\/b>should\u00a0<span class=\"il\">register<\/span> for the section with Jindong Cai.<\/li>\n<li>It is required to take studio instruction for 4 credits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><b>CNSV 110: Chamber Music (2cr)<\/b><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><b>All instrumental majors should\u00a0<span class=\"il\">register<\/span>\u00a0for chamber music, unless:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li>You have received a waiver from Marka Gustavsson (students must apply by the waiver deadline).<\/li>\n<li>You have been approved to fulfill your requirement by playing in the Baroque Ensemble or Chinese Music Ensemble.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>If you cannot fit this into your schedule because of the credit cap, please email <a href=\"mailto:moneill@bard.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">moneill@bard.edu<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div><b>CNSV 112: Orchestral Training and Repertoire (0cr)<\/b><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>All students who play an orchestral instrument should\u00a0<span class=\"il\">register<\/span>\u00a0for Orchestra<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><b>CNSV 130: Orchestral Repertoire for Winds, Brass, Percussion, and Harp (2cr)<\/b><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>All students who play Winds, Brass, Percussion, or Harp should\u00a0<span class=\"il\">register<\/span>\u00a0for\u00a0this course.<\/li>\n<li>If you cannot fit this into your schedule because of the credit cap, please email <a href=\"mailto:moneill@bard.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">moneill@bard.edu<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><b><u>Voice Majors:<\/u><\/b><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>CNSV 106: Voice Lessons (2cr)<\/b><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"il\">Register<\/span>\u00a0for the section with your studio instructor.<\/li>\n<li>It is required to take studio instruction for 2 credits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div><b><u>Composition Majors:<\/u><\/b><\/div>\n<div><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<div><b>CNSV 102: Composition Tutorial (4cr)<\/b><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"il\">Register<\/span>\u00a0for the section with your studio instructor.<\/li>\n<li>It is required to take studio instruction for 2 credits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>You can find the full list of graduation requirements here:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.bard.edu\/conservatory-wiki\/programs\/undergraduate-double-degree-program\/udd-handbook\/graduation-requirements\/\">UGDD Graduation Requirements<\/a><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Course Planning Click below for a course planning chart for the double-degree program.
