Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.bard.edu\/conservatory-wiki\/resources-and-guides\/asimut\/\">Room Reservations Using ASIMUT<\/a> for more details.<\/em><\/h3>\n<h3><em>Music Program, Bard College, and TON students can reserve rooms via the Practice Desk or by emailing <a class=\"external-link\" href=\"mailto:practice@bard.edu\" rel=\"nofollow\">practice@bard.edu<\/a>. Read below for full policy.<\/em><\/h3>\n<h2><strong><em>Studio &amp; Practice Room Rules<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Food or beverages are strictly prohibited inside the practice rooms.<\/li>\n<li>All personal belongings must be removed after practicing is completed.<\/li>\n<li>If a student failed to show after, or leave the room vacant for more than\u00a0<u>10 minutes<\/u>, another student may take over that room for the remainder of the time reserved.<\/li>\n<li>Only piano music may be placed on the pianos.\u00a0Do not place any belongings on the pianos such as books, jackets, instrument cases, etc.<\/li>\n<li>The practice room must be used for practicing.<\/li>\n<li>If you are unable to make it to your practice booking, please email practice@bard.edu to cancel your reservation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Abuse of the practice rooms or failure to follow the practice room rules can result in revocation of practice room privileges and could lead to probation (see Conservatory probation)<\/p>\n<h2><strong><em>Frequently asked questions on Practice Rooms:<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>When can I make my reservation?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You may email\u00a0<a class=\"external-link\" href=\"mailto:practice@bard.edu\" rel=\"nofollow\">practice@bard.edu<\/a> anytime. (The inbox is monitored Monday &#8211; Friday from 9am &#8211; 7pm &amp; on Saturday and Sunday from 11am &#8211; 7pm. Approvals will be sent via email.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What are the building hours?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bito, Blum and the Practice room building are open from 7:00 am &#8211; 11:00 pm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How quickly can I make a reservation?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you need a spur-of-the-moment reservation, come to the lobby in Bito to schedule a room with the Bito lobby monitor at the desk during scheduling hours.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For how many hours may I request a room reservation?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students may reserve up to two-hours in a room. Each time you book, you may request up to 2 two-hour blocks of time. If you need additional space, you will need to send this request at a later time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I reserve a room for my friend or for my teacher?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students and faculty members must make their reservations personally.\u00a0 Reservations will not be accepted on behalf of another student or faculty member.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do I have to make a reservation to use a room?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is highly recommended that you make a reservation. If you use a room without a reservation, the person with a reservation supersedes the person without the reservation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What happens if I am late?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students must occupy their reserved room in person within the first 10 minutes or their reservation is forfeited.\u00a0 The \u201clate rule\u201d does not apply to faculty members using Teaching studios.\u00a0 Students and faculty are encouraged to release unneeded rooms so that others may utilize the rooms.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What happens if I leave my room?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students\u00a0<strong>may not<\/strong>\u00a0hold a room for more than 10 minutes by leaving their belongings in it (i.e., pianists may not hold a room all day Saturday by leaving their music on the piano).\u00a0 If a student needs to leave their practice room for any reason they must return within 10 minutes.\u00a0 If someone finds a room that is occupied only by another\u2019s belongings, they must give the owner 10 minutes to return.\u00a0 If the owner does not return after 10 minutes, the owner forfeits the room and may collect their belongings upon return.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How can I know which practice rooms are suitable for my rehearsal needs?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can check our <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/17WfAKhGHfNtpDbOjHOCgry5EE1LMtqEeLjzDHyzrh4s\/edit?usp=sharing\">Practice Room &amp; Studio Space Guide<\/a>!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Conservatory students are required to book rooms via ASIMUT.
