It is used by Bard Conservatory students, faculty, and staff.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">View the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.bard.edu\/conservatory-wiki\/files\/2024\/11\/ASIMUT-User-Guide.pdf\">ASIMUT User Guide<\/a> <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">for in-depth information about using the new platform, making reservations, and customizing your preferences.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Login Here:<\/b> <a href=\"http:\/\/bcom.asimut.net\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">bcom.asimut.net\/<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Note: you will be asked to enter your Bard Login Credentials to access ASIMUT<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Read below for Booking Policies, Studio &amp; Practice Room Rules, and FAQ&#8217;s:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><b>Booking Policies:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Practice room reservations are required, and students can reserve rooms under two categories:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Individual Practice\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ensemble Practice (one other person will need to be included in the reservation)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students can book rooms up to 10 days in advance.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Each student is given a \u201crolling quota\u201d of 6 hours (you can view your available balance at the top of the user menu, just above \u201cMy Agenda\u201d). The minute a reservation passes, the time is added back to your rolling quota.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students are given a \u201cFree Booking Horizon\u201d of 2.5 hours. &#8220;Free Booking Horizon&#8221; allows students to reserve rooms at the last minute if time opens up in their schedule, without counting towards a student&#8217;s quota.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The minimum reservation time is 15 minutes (if you book the same room again, a 30-minute break is required between reservations).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Only Conservatory spaces can be reserved through ASIMUT.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If available, Olin Hall and CPS can be reserved through ASIMUT 24 hours in advance. For reservations in the future, email <\/span><a href=\"mailto:moneill@bard.edu\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mary-Liz O\u2019Neill<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> or <\/span><a href=\"mailto:mmancus@bard.edu\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Marc Mancus<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Studio &amp; Practice Room Rules<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Food or beverages are strictly prohibited inside the practice rooms.<\/li>\n<li>All personal belongings must be removed after practicing is completed.<\/li>\n<li>If a student failed to show after, or leave the room vacant for more than\u00a0<u>10 minutes<\/u>, another student may take over that room for the remainder of the time reserved.<\/li>\n<li>Only piano music may be placed on the pianos.\u00a0Do not place any belongings on the pianos such as books, jackets, instrument cases, etc.<\/li>\n<li>The practice room must be used for practicing.<\/li>\n<li>If you are unable to make it to your practice booking, please email practice@bard.edu to cancel your reservation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Abuse of the practice rooms or failure to follow the practice room rules can result in lowering of practice quota in ASIMUT, revocation of practice room privileges and could lead to probation (see Conservatory probation)<\/p>\n<p><b>Frequently Asked Questions:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Are reservations required for all rooms?<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Yes, reservations are required for all practice spaces.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>What is a rolling quota and how does it work?<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A quota is the maximum number of hours a student can have booked at one time.\u00a0 When a room booking is made, the quota decreases by the duration of the reservation. At the time the booking is completed, the quota is recovered.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>What are the benefits of a rolling quota?<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The rolling quota stops students from reserving all of the rooms for themselves and so keeps spaces available for other students to use.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Do I have to cancel my reservation if I can no longer attend?<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students should always cancel their reservations if they can no longer attend. By canceling your reservation, that time will then be added back to your quota. This will also release the space, and make it available for other students to book.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>If a student fails to show after, or leave the room vacant for more than <u>10 minutes<\/u>, another student may take over that room for the remainder of the time reserved.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Can I end my practice session early?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Yes! By ending your reservation early in ASIMUT, this allows for the full amount of time to be added back to your quota, and will make the space available for other students to book.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>How to book a room as a TON, Music Program, or Bard College Student?<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">TON, Music Program, or Bard College Students will still be able to book rooms by visiting the practice desk or emailing\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Can I still book a room at the Practice Desk?<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Conservatory students can only reserve rooms through ASIMUT. If you are having trouble using ASIMUT, you can go to the Practice Desk to help troubleshoot any issues.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>How long can I book a room for?<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There is no maximum amount of hours that a room can be booked for, just keep in mind your quota.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>If my academic class is canceled, will that be reflected in ASIMUT?<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">NO. Academic class data is listed based on what we receive from the registrar. We have no way of knowing if your academic class was canceled.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Can I book large performance spaces on ASIMUT?<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If there is time available, students can reserve CPS and Olin Hall for rehearsals 24 hours in advance.
