The film will be introduced and discussed by CHRA Fellow and filmmaker Sabine El Chamaa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Eliane Raheb\u2019s hybrid documentary follows Miguel, a gay man exiled in Spain who returns to Lebanon after 37 years to reflect on his experience growing up during the civil war, and to remember the relationships that shaped him as a son, lover, and soldier.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Filmed in Lebanon and Spain, the film melds documentary, animation, theater and archive in order to play with our notions of biography.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Miguel\u2019s War<\/span><\/i> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">premiered in Berlinale 2021 where it won both the audience award and Teddy award.
