{"id":18130,"date":"2024-10-21T10:56:39","date_gmt":"2024-10-21T14:56:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chra.bard.edu\/?p=18130"},"modified":"2024-10-24T14:38:43","modified_gmt":"2024-10-24T18:38:43","slug":"now-accepting-applications-ma-in-human-rights-and-the-arts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bard.edu\/chra\/opportunities\/open\/now-accepting-applications-ma-in-human-rights-and-the-arts\/","title":{"rendered":"NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS: MA in HUMAN RIGHTS and THE ARTS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The OSUN Center for Human Rights &amp; the Arts at Bard College is now accepting applications for its MA in Human Rights and the Arts program.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/chra.bard.edu\/ma\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">MA Program in Human Rights &amp; the Arts<\/span><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">offers a two-year graduate-level interdisciplinary curricular experience that takes stock of the growing encounter between human rights and the arts as fields of both academic knowledge and professional work. In addition to flexible and rigorous graduate-level coursework, students are expected to successfully present a research-based academic thesis or artistic performance\/film\/installation as their capstone project. Our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/chra.bard.edu\/ma\/current-students\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">current students<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> join us from around the world and represent a variety of academic backgrounds and professional aspirations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The MA program is housed in the OSUN Center for Human Rights and the Arts (CHRA), at Bard College in the New York Hudson Valley (occupied homelands of the Munsee and Muhheaconneok people), which offers a variety of co-curricular and professional development activities as well as research and travel grant opportunities. Need-based <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/chra.bard.edu\/ma\/financial-aid\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">financial aid<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is available to all students (including those from outside the United States) in select amounts to help defray the cost of attendance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The application deadline is January 24, 2025. There is no application fee, and no standardized test requirement.
