{"id":13120,"date":"2023-01-23T10:55:08","date_gmt":"2023-01-23T15:55:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chra.bard.edu\/?p=13120"},"modified":"2023-02-03T12:56:31","modified_gmt":"2023-02-03T17:56:31","slug":"ma-students-visit-mass-moca","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bard.edu\/chra\/news\/ma-students-visit-mass-moca\/","title":{"rendered":"MA\u00a0Students Visit\u00a0Mass\u00a0MoCA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over the 2022\u201323 winter break, CHRA organized a field trip for\u00a0<span class=\"il\">MA<\/span> students to the\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Massachusetts<\/span>\u00a0Museum of Contemporary Arts (<span class=\"il\">Mass<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"il\">MoCA<\/span>), situated on the ancestral homelands of the Muhheaconneok\u202for Mohican people (People of the Waters That Are Never Still) and the Wabanaki peoples. Particular exhibits that students remarked on were those by EJ Hill, Marc Swanson, kellie rae adams, Yto Barrada, Louise Bourgeois, Sol LeWitt, and Murray Hidarya.<\/p>\n<p>Students also attended a screening of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theshadowfilm.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.theshadowfilm.com\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1675526024249000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0bIUQEfRHcSlalvcoLGCN6\"><i>Shadows<\/i><\/a>\u00a0(by\u00a0Back To Back Theater), which offered an exemplary illustration of what can happen at the intersection of arts practice, activism and human rights, articulated not only in the artistic iteration but throughout the company itself and its practices at every step of development, rehearsal and production.
