The event, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/stamps.umich.edu\/events\/tania-el-khoury\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">on Thursday, January 26, at 5:30pm<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> at the historical Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor, took the form of an interview conducted by writer, dramaturg, and curator T<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">om Sellar, editor of Yale\u2019s international journal <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Theater<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and professor in the Practice of Dramaturgy and Dramatic Criticism at Yale.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> El Khoury\u2019s appearance in the series was in tandem with the opening of her interactive installation <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cultural Exchange Rate<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> at the University of Michigan\u2019s The Stamps Gallery, and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ums.org\/performance\/cultural-exchange-rate\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">runs through January 29, 2023<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/stamps.umich.edu\/penny-stamps-speaker-series\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Penny Stamps Distinguished Speaker Series<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> brings respected leaders and innovators from a broad spectrum of creative fields to speak about their work at free, public events.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cultural Exchange Rate<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> examines the universal, never-ending story of migration through a complex family diary of borders, and the recognition that the cruelest of borders are invisible to the eye and yet present in everyday life.
